Accessibility

We want this website and the ApproveTrail software to be usable by as many people as possible.

Standard we aim for

This website is designed with the goal of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is a target we work towards rather than a certified compliance claim.

What has been done

  • Semantic HTML markup is used for headings, lists, navigation and forms so that the page structure can be understood by assistive technology.
  • Pages support keyboard navigation, including menus, forms and interactive components.
  • Visible focus states are provided for interactive elements so keyboard users can see where focus is.
  • Text and background colour combinations are chosen to provide sufficient contrast.
  • Animations and transitions respect the operating system's reduced-motion preference where supported by the browser.
  • Layouts are responsive and designed to remain usable at different screen sizes and zoom levels.

Known limitations

Some third-party components, such as the embedded Stripe checkout, are outside our direct control, though Stripe publishes its own accessibility information. Some older content or images may not yet have complete alternative text. We are working through these areas progressively.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If you find part of this website or the software difficult to use because of a disability, email hello@approvetrail.co.uk describing the page or feature and the problem encountered. We will acknowledge your report within one business day and aim to address genuine barriers as quickly as reasonably possible.
